Terry Pfeiffer

BOARD PRESIDENT


Terry Copeland Pfeiffer is an Oak Ridge High graduate and holds a BA from Tennessee Tech in theatre and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction/English Education from the University of Tennessee. She is past English faculty at Farragut High School and Roane County Vocational Center and spent several years as Bookkeeper for her family’s auto parts store in Oak Ridge and as office manager and bookkeeper for Atom Sciences, Inc. Currently she is the Senior Division Admin for the Buildings and Transportation Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). At ORNL she is the Secretary of Club ORNL, is a member of the Energy Science and Technology Directorate’s ORNL Gives Committee and is on the ORNL Women’s Leadership Council. Terry has been a long-time fixture in the performing arts in our area including serving on the Oak Ridge Playhouse Board of Directors, directing and stage-managing productions at the Playhouse, Flying Anvil Theatre, Theatre Knoxville Downtown and Foothills Community Players. She has also been on the Oak Ridge’s Earth Day committee, Chaired the Social Concerns Committee at First United Methodist Church (FUMC), is currently on the FUMC Trustees committee, and can be seen most Sundays in the back corner of the Multipurpose Room running lights for the contemporary service. Terry and her husband Bob cook FUMC’s community meal one Wednesday of most months and she serves as FUMC’s volunteer coordinator for their involvement in the Roane County Family Promise.
